English Language Arts
Literary Interpretation
Creative Writing

It doesn't matter if you are self concious about your reading and writing skills or would want nothing more than to post your writing all over the school. In my English class, we will be exploring text and developing writing technique together. Not as parrots or literary slaves, but as a team. It is my goal that by the end of your class with me, you will have a new understanding about the power of the writen word, whether it came from an old British guy or from your own hand.

Theatre Arts
Stagecraft

Acting is doing. Acting is life out of context.

In my class we explore the act of doing through monologues, script and character study, improv, and beginning the dive into the wonderful world of Meisner's Method.

This is not an easy A class. Do not take this class if you just want to sit around and chat with your friends. I will hold you accountable if you step into my room. And I will work with every one no matter their preview acting experience or current skill level.

This class provides skills that go beyond the stage.

German
German Studies

No, not everything said in German sounds angry. Every class is not an hour of us screaming at each other in German.

Learning another language is more than just odd vowells and backwards grammar. In my class, we will be exploring German life and culture alongside the language.

Lederhosen not included.

Success In My Class Is Up To You!

When you enter any one of my classes, be prepared to punch the clock. I understand not all classes are voluntary, but if you're in my class, be prepared to learn and grow side-by-side with your classmates and teacher (that's me). If you do the work, I'll do what I can to make sure you pass.

Also, be prepared to leave it all at the door. My room is a place where imagination and creativity flow. There are no wrong answers, and there are no dumb questions. No one will by bullied to any extend in my room -- that includes snickering and gossiping.
